And, of course, how to get from Sorrento to the Naples Airport

By and large, there's only one real way to get from the Naples airport (Capodichino) to Sorrento which is the bus, and what this article will focus on. Of course, there's also a taxi option, but that's roughly 100 euros, depending on the taxi company, number of passengers and bags, and flight arrival time.
And, because we have a somewhat budget-minded sensibility when it comes to traveling, I think I've only seen the inside of an Italian taxi twice, so I often feel like a fraud when I tell people they're valid options.
The bus from Sorrento to Naples Airport
The main bus from the Naples Airport to Sorrento is run by a company called "Curreri Viaggi". This bus also stops in Pompeii, so if you're looking for a bus there as well, this is also an option.
The bus leaves roughly every two hours for Sorrento, and there are limited seats on board (of course). To figure out which bus time works best for you, you can find the .PDF here.
The cost of a single ticket is 13 euros and it must be booked through their website as I don't think you can buy a ticket for them through an affiliate company (like GetbyBus, Omio, Trainline, etc.).
Keep in mind, you have to purchase your ticket no later than 4 hours before you want to get on board, given the fact you're reserving a seat and there are limited seats. It's best to go ahead and book your ticket when you know your travel dates, rather than waiting until the last second.
To find the Curreri bus at the airport, you will not go to the bus stop mentioned in our article on the Naples Airport bus. Instead, you will leave the airport and follow signs for the "tourist bus" or "autobus turistici". It's past the bus stop for the Alibus, so if you see a bunch of people waiting there, don't stop, but keep walking until you get to the background just ahead. The bus from Sorrento to Naples Airport
If your vacation isn't ending after Sorrento, and you're looking for how to simply get to Naples City Center from Sorrento, you can find out article on that here.
From Sorrento, you will find the bus at the train station (where it dropped you off). Again, keep in mind that you must buy your ticket at least 4 hours before the departure time of the bus.
It will drop you off where it picked you up, near the roundabout, about a 7-10 minute walk from the entrance to the airport.
Likewise, the bus leaves roughly every 2 hours from Sorrento, and the bus company recommends that you try to get one of their buses that leave 5 hours before your flight (so if you have a 12pm flight, they recommend that you take their 7am bus). For the complete bus schedule, you can find their .PDF here.
